2021: Impact of the Global Facility in Colombia

The Global Facility has engaged all the partners at the local level in Colombia including the United Nations Development Programme PNUD Colombia, United Nations Global Compact, DHL Express, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Bogotá Chamber of Commerce - Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The joint taskforce team has held 7 webinars with 20 participants from Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bogotá and other regions.

With tailored solutions based on the needs and capacities of local businesses, the Global Facility provided support to MSMEs in three areas: business strengthening, digital transformation, and access to new markets & financing mechanisms. Through this process, participants from MSMEs were enabled to advance their digital strategies and promote their financial performances.

To continue the momentum and help MSMEs recover from the pandemic, the partners of the Global Facility have agreed upon the work plan for 2022 to scale the service offer and support these enterprises' critical need to become more resilient to future shocks.
