Our partners

The Initiating Partners of the Global Facility bring their unique access to global expertise on responsible business practices, economic recovery, green business transformation, and multi-hazard risk management.

The Global Facility has enabled innovative partnerships at scale by harnessing the large networks of its three initiating partners:

  • UNDP has global coverage with 170 Country Offices and is the technical lead for the UN social and economic recovery efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • The ICC is a world business organization. It is the institutional representative of more than 45 million companies in over 100 countries with particular deep coverage of SMEs.

  • The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with more than 12.000 companies in more than 160 countries joining forces to create a responsible and sustainable world.

The strategic partnership with DHL, Microsoft, and PwC will enable the Global Facility to engage and mobilize the private sector within a framework of development and recovery in an unprecedented diversity of contexts and scope of cooperation. The strategic partners of the Global Facility and potentially others are committed to supporting this transformational recovery with their unique capabilities as global players.

The Global Facility is further supported by the leadership of the Sustainable Finance Hub and Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD), UNDP. The Global Facility will operationalize the UNDP’s extensive multi-hazard risk expertise, SDG Impact's investor maps and framing of development gaps as investment opportunities, as well as IICPSD's deep knowledge of private sector engagement at the country level.
